More typical August weather

Kelly Greene

High pressure is building into Central Indiana today. That will allow a quiet and dry pattern to settle in for a few days. Patchy fog is possible this morning through 9am. Visibilities could be reduced to less than a mile at times.

It will be a bright sunny day with light breezes out of the northwest. A little bit more humidity will creep in but it will be a beautiful August day with highs in the low 80s. It will be a great day to head to the pool or the Indiana State Fair.

It will be mostly clear tonight with temperatures falling back into the low 60s, a few degrees below normal for this year.

The average high for this time of year is 84 degrees. Temperatures will be running near normal for most of the work week. It will also be a bit more humid but not oppressive.

A cold front will enter the Northern Indiana on Tuesday and that will bring a chance of scattered storms. A few more storms will be possible on Wednesday as well, but it looks like Thursday on through the weekend, will be mostly dry.
