More than 100 turn out for annual MDA walk
An inspiring effort at the State Fairgrounds Saturday supported people suffering from a debilitating condition.
More than 100 people took part in the annual Muscle Walk benefiting the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA). The event helps children and adults in our area who are living with neuro-muscular diseases.
According to Sarah Stackert with MDA, "We have 1,100 families in central Indiana affected by the disease. Most are life-threatening; others are life-altering. But we have some really great families who have very inspirational stories, and their connection with MD is really helping them provide hope for the future."
Money raised Saturday will go toward research and services for those families.
