More sun today, heat & humidity return Monday
After a cloudy Saturday, today will be brighter and a bit warmer. A light spotty shower will be possible this afternoon with partly sunny skies and highs in the upper 70s and low 80s.
It will be partly cloudy and mild tonight with a low in the mid 60s.
High pressure builds in by Monday. It will be mostly sunny with temperatures soaring into the upper 80s. It will be more humid too, making it feel like the low 90s.
Another hot day is in store on Tuesday as well, with temperatures climbing into the upper 80s to near 90 degrees. So far this year, we’ve not hit the 90 degree mark. Normally, the first 90 degree day falls around June 18th. We’ve hit 88 degrees a few times in June but not 90 degrees. Although it has FELT like it, due to high humidity.
A cold front will arrive on Wednesday. This will fire off some showers and thunderstorms and it will allow cooler air to flow back into central Indiana.
Temperatures will struggle to climb to near 80 degrees on Thursday.
More chances of showers and thunderstorms return for the weekend.
