More rain and more cool air
After a bit of a break from the steady rain Wednesday afternoon, rain returns for Wednesday night. Some of the rain will be heavy at times and there is still the chance for a strong to severe storm across southeastern Indiana. Temperatures overnight are forecast in the middle and upper 40s.
There will be a few more dry breaks on Thursday than there were on Wednesday. There will still be low clouds and drizzle and a few pockets of light rain. Highs are only forecast in the lower 50s. These numbers are closer to the average low for the middle of May.
The back edge of this slow moving weather system arrives on Friday. There will be more rain on Friday, with highs only near 50 degrees. As this weather system exits, we are tracking a few cool mornings. Temperatures Friday through Sunday mornings will be in the upper 30s and lower 40s. Our soggy weather pattern finally makes a change this weekend. It will still be cooler than the average of 72 degrees. Highs will be in the lower 60s on Saturday and closer to 70 on Sunday. Right now we have a chance for a stray shower on Saturday, but most of the weekend will be dry. If you want more warm weather, it arrives next week.
