Queen of Free: Cyber Monday strategies

If you’re planning to shop Cyber Monday, Cherie Lowe, the Queen of Free, has some advice to get ready and to deal with the "weirdness" that is 2020.

INDIANAPOLIS — Thanksgiving and Black Friday are in the rearview mirror.

And you've shopped small from a distance on Small Business Saturday.

But now it's time to deal with Cyber Monday.

If you’re planning to shop this year, Cherie Lowe, the Queen of Free, has some advice to get ready and to deal with the "weirdness" that is 2020.

First, know what you're after. List the sizes, favorite brands and, most of all, your budget before you log on.

Use filters to narrow your searches and avoid impulse buying and overspending.

Set a time limit. The longer you shop, the more you are likely to overspend.

Make sure you take advantage of store rewards and cash-back sites like Rakuten or the Fetch Rewards app.

Make sure to check what local and small businesses are offering, too.

And always check the shipping dates to make sure gifts arrive on time.

Cherie shares more details in her blog.
