Now Mo'ne Davis will go from being magazine cover girl to erstwhile eighth-grader.

The right-hander with the thick braids and the wide smile stepped into the national spotlight and captured hearts around the world while leading the Philadelphia Taney Dragons on an entertaining run at the Little League World Series. Their trip ended last night with a 6-5 loss to Chicago's Jackie Robinson West - but that didn't taint Davis' impact or diminish her future.

She appeared on the cover of Sports Illustrated after becoming the first female to toss a shutout in the World Series, the 13-year-old will now concentrate on her studies and her favorite sport, basketball.

Whatever path she chooses, based on her two weeks in the spotlight, her future's bright.
