Something's been missing for Metallica since the retirement of long-time New York Yankees Pitcher Mariano Rivera.

Since the band is no longer providing entrance music for the veteran player who retired from the mound in 2013, they've got a lot of time on their hands.

So, they've been searching for a new professional athlete to strut their tunes, which is depicted in a new SportsCenter commercial that aired Monday.

The video shows the band's fruitless efforts. In the end, the rock stars find themselves teaching guitar lessons in the ESPN break room.
