Man seriously hurt when pickup flips at 16th and Delaware
A man was seriously hurt when the pickup he was driving flipped at the intersection of 16th and Delaware on the near north side early Friday morning.
The red Dodge pickup was northbound on Delaware just before 1:00 a.m., according to Indianapolis Fire Dept. spokesman Larry Tracy, when it failed to navigate the jog in the road at 16th Street, hit the curb, and flipped.
Emergency crews pulled out the driver, 22-year-old Justin Oliver, and medics took him to Methodist Hospital.
Tracy did not indicate whether the driver appeared to be impaired at the time of the crash, and said IMPD would be investigating the cause of the crash.
No other vehicles were involved and the truck stopped just short of striking the building on the northwest corner of the intersection.
