Man pulled from burning car on Keystone
A man was pulled from his burning car after it struck a tree and caught fire near 24th and Keystone early Monday morning.
Fire crews were called on the report of a car fire, and arrived to find the 26-year-old man already out of the burned car, which was resting in two pieces off the roadway.
Stefan Murphy said he was driving by and stopped to help, along with two security guards.
"The passenger side was engulfed in flames," Murphy told Eyewitness News.
Between the three men, Murphy said they broke the driver's side window, pulled open the door, and cut the man's seat belt before they could pull him to safety.
Murphy said the man was semi-conscious at the scene.
He was taken to the hospital with injuries that appeared non-life threatening.
