The Madison County woman injured in a crash that killed her husband was released from the hospital Tuesday.

Meantime, the Edgewood officer accused of causing the crash while on prescription pills won't be paid during his administrative leave.

According to The Herald Bulletin, the town council voted unanimously to halt the salary of Officer James Foutch. He's been suspended since the accident on April 6th.

The crash killed 23-year-old Jesse Sperry and injured Rebecca Sperry, who was pregnant at the time. She gave birth to her daughter in an emergency C-section.

The couple was returning from church at the time of the crash. Police say Foutch's SUV was traveling 92 miles per hour when he slammed into the back of the couple's car, wrapping it around a utility pole.

Investigators say Foutch admitted he'd been using hydrocodone and Xanax.

Rebecca Sperry and baby Autumn were reunited for the first time last week. They are now back home with Sperry's parents.
