Luck heads into opener with different perspective
INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - The Andrew Luck that shows up Sunday afternoon won't be the same one Colts fans were used to seeing last season.
He's more confident. He's more relaxed. He's a more vocal leader.
Yes, it's a natural progression for a second-year NFL quarterback, particularly one that has been as hyped as Luck was coming out of college.
But for Luck and his teammates, this is also a necessary transformation if Indianapolis is going to take that next big step.
It's not as if Luck was bad in 2012. He had one of the most productive rookie seasons in NFL history, and he presided over one of the biggest turnarounds, from 2-14 to 11-5 and the playoffs.
He just wants to improve enough to make the Colts better in 2013.
