Louisville announces ticket deals for Purdue game
Coach Jeff Walz wants as many fans on hand as possible Tuesday night for Louisville's second-round NCAA women's basketball tournament game with Purdue, and the university is doing its part to help.
Louisville announced ticket prices Monday including $5 for seats behind the baskets. Seniors and students from kindergarten through high school can buy tickets for $10 each, while the adult price is $18.
The Cardinals ranked third nationally in average attendance this season with 9,577, but attendance for Sunday's first-round games was 5,977 at the KFC Yum Center.
Walz said after his fifth-seeded Cardinals' win over Middle Tennessee that they had a great crowd. But he says he'd almost feel sad for people who don't get a chance to see their last home game this season and is hoping for 8,000 against fourth-seeded Purdue.
