INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - The remnants of Irma continue to drift off to the west but, we are still seeing the influence of the deep area of low pressure today.

We have a lot of fog, mist, and drizzle this morning. That will end by this afternoon when sunshine breaks out with highs back up in the mid 70s. The afternoon should be very nice in Indiana.

We're still eyeing a big time, late summer warm-up this weekend with temperatures 10 degrees above average. Areas of fog can be expected Friday/Saturday mornings but both afternoons feature a brighter sky and highs in the low/mid 80s.

Not only will heat bump back into the forecast but also, by Sunday, we'll start to feel the humidity.

Tailgating for the Colts home opener Sunday will be very warm with hazy sun and temperatures in the mid-80s heading into Lucas Oil Stadium.

It will be interesting to see if Colts brass open the roof Sunday since bright sunshine will hit the north end zone areas and it will be in the mid 80s.

A weak cool front arrives Sunday evening and offers scattered rain/storm chances Sunday night into Monday.
