Lawmakers set date for small fixes, veto overrides

Indiana state lawmakers are already planning a quick return to the Statehouse to take care of any technical business and possibly override any vetoes.

The General Assembly will return May 23 for its "technical day." Lawmakers are scheduled to end their 2013 session by next Monday.

Gov. Mike Pence has not threatened to veto any measures lawmakers would send to him. But if he does, the General Assembly would only need a simple majority to override him.

Legislative cleanups including grammatical corrections also could be addressed on May 23.
