Lafayette Police seek Village Pantry robbery suspect


Lafayette Police officers are investigating an early morning robbery.

Police were called to the Village Pantry on Brady Lane at 2:21 am Tuesday morning. According to police, a man walked in, displayed a knife and demanded money from the clerk. The robber got away with an undisclosed amount of cash and fled east after leaving the store.

The suspect is described as a white male approximately 5' 7" tall, 150 lbs and medium build. He was wearing a green camouflage jacket and blue jeans. The suspect wore plastic grocery bags over his shoes, and his face was covered.

The clerk was not injured during the robbery.
