A Lafayette man has been arrested for the shooting death of another man.

Police were called to a residence in the 3100 block of Kossuth Street on a report of a possible shooting. When officers arrived, they found 32-year-old Robert Rudicle II with a gunshot wound to the chest.

The officers found a second man, 51-year-old Kevin Adams, who lived at the Kossuth St. address, in the backyard. Investigators determined Adams had shot Rudicle and arrested him for murder.

Police say Rudicle had been living in Lafayette, but was originally from Florida.
