Lafayette-area murals urge people to share dreams
Two murals created of chalkboards are inspiring Lafayette-area residents to share their dreams.
The murals in Lafayette and West Lafayette are created from blackboard material. They are titled "Before I die ..." and invite people to write down what they want to do before they die in chalk.
West Lafayette councilwoman Vicki Burch tells the Journal & Courier the mural is like a "bucket list" for participants.
Similar displays have been erected around the world. The idea was born out of artist Candy Chang's grief when a close friend died.
Recent posts in Lafayette and West Lafayette included one from a person who wanted to "make an impact" and another who wanted to "be God."
Profane or racist posts are erased.
