A rugged-looking Kevin Bacon is hoping to bring "eighties awareness" to the Millennial generation.

In a YouTube video that's seen over 1.3 million hits, the actor explains, tongue-in-cheek, that the awareness of eighties culture and technology "has been in significant decline especially amongst a certain demographic. I'm talking to you, Millennials!"

"All you guys born after 1985 have no idea how hard life was," Bacon continues. He describes being too shy to ask a girl out on a date and having to go through the White Pages to get her phone number, then make small talk with her mother.

"And believe me, when she turns down your invitation to Sbarro's, you can't just swipe away the hurt," Bacon said, grimacing at the old wound.

"You wanna know my favorite app? Rubik's Cube!" he said.

Bacon also talked about the Cold War and scoffed at Russia's recent saber-rattling in the Ukraine.

"You couldn't even skateboard to a Blockbuster without getting nuked," he said. "My friend Tommy went out to rent a copy of Gremlins and never came back. You know why? Nuked."
