Notre Dame coach Brian Kelly says he doesn't mind his players enjoying the excitement surrounding their best start in a decade, so long as they stay focused on what it's taken to get them there.

Kelly said Tuesday that the ninth-ranked Irish (4-0) have been depending too much on their defense. He says the offense needs to score more, starting Saturday against Miami (4-1), which is averaging 473 yards and 35.6 points a game. Notre Dame hasn't scored more than 20 points in its past three games.

Kelly also says a "clicking" quarterback Everett Golson was feeling in his right shoulder has cleared up.
