Justin Bieber's rep says laptop theft wasn't a publicity stunt
Justin Bieber's publicist says Bieber's laptop really was stolen and it wasn't just a ploy for publicity for a new video.
Bieber tweeted last week his laptop and a camera were stolen. A Twitter user known as "gexwy" claimed to have the computer and was arguing with Bieber online about releasing the footage, but then linked to Bieber's new video for "Beauty and a Beat."
Bieber publicist Melissa Victor says Bieber's laptop really was stolen in Tacoma, Washington, but did not reply to questions about the music video.
Tacoma police say a theft report was filed online. A police spokesman says he doesn't think police will spend much time investigating because "a lot of people got played."
