A judge has ruled Sammy Hagar did not defame a Playboy bunny in his 2011 autobiography, "Red."

U.S. District Judge Linda Reade dismissed the lawsuit filed by an Iowa woman identified only as Jane Doe. The woman claims she got pregnant with Hagar's child in 1988. The child died shortly after birth.

In his book, Hagar denied fathering the child and accused the woman of extorting him for money. Reade says Hagar did not libel the woman because he did not use Doe's name and she failed to prove she suffered injury from his statements.
