Jeffersonville police officer injured in crash
A southern Indiana police officer responding to a bank alarm has been injured after his patrol car collided with another vehicle.
State police say the injured officer and a woman driving the other vehicle both were transported to University of Louisville Hospital. Jeffersonville Police Sgt. Todd Hollis says the officer was in stable condition, but he didn't know the woman's status.
Hollis says the patrol car's lights and siren were activated at the time of the crash.
Neither the officer nor the other driver has been identified. They were the only occupants of their vehicles.
Police Chief Chris Grimm says the officer was responding to a bank alarm when the collision occurred.
