JC Penney closing stores in Warsaw, Marion
Retailer J.C. Penney plans to close two Indiana department stores as it tries to return to profitability.
The company says the Indiana stores are at Five Points Mall in Marion and Marketplace Shopping Center in Warsaw.
J.C. Penney announced Wednesday it will cut 2,000 jobs and close 33 underperforming stores.
The Texas-based company said earlier this month it was pleased with its holiday results but declined to give sales figures.
The cuts should save more than $65 million annually. All the job cuts are related to the store closings.
