IUPUI student reports assault, robbery

Police on the IUPUI campus are investigating a robbery reported by a student.

The student told police he was robbed at 1200 Indiana Avenue around 11:10 p.m. Monday. He said he was struck and knocked to the ground after parking his vehicle. His wallet was taken, but did not see a weapon.

The suspect is described as a dark-complected male. The student said he was not injured in the alleged attack.

Police encourage students not to walk alone and to use the Safewalk service, if possible.
