IUPUI falls at Oral Roberts in OT
Roderick Pearson hit a short jumper at the buzzer to give Oral Roberts a 76-74 overtime victory over IUPUI on Thursday night.
The Jaguars' Ian Chiles sank a free throw to tie it at 74 with 19 seconds left but missed the second. Oral Roberts worked it for the final shot, and Pearson's basket gave Oral Roberts its 21st straight home victory.
Dominique Morrison paced the Golden Eagles (22-5, 14-1 Summit League) with 23 points. Michael Craion, Warren Niles and Steven Roundtree scored 11 each.
Alex Young hit a career-high six 3-pointers, scoring 34 points for the Jaguars (10-16, 4-10). Christian Siakam and Stephen Thomas added 11 apiece.
With IUPUI down 65-61, Young converted a four-point play with 23 seconds to go, forcing overtime.
The Golden Eagles scored the first six points of OT, but Siakam cut it to 74-73 with 40 seconds left before Pearson ended it.
