IU men up-tempo at Thursday practice in Dayton
Welcome to Dayton, Ohio for the start of IU's NCAA Tournament journey. The Hoosiers are after their sixth national title - and they're on a mission to win their first title since 1987.
At practice Thursday, IU fans were scarce. The arena was open to the public but wasn't even half full for Thursday's practice.
Still, IU put on a show with an up-tempo workout. The players are fired up - especially since finding out President Obama has picked them to win it all.
"That's pretty cool that the president actually knows who we are and stuff like that," said Victor Oladipo. "I know he's got a lot of stuff going on there and for him to actually know who we are is pretty cool."
Jordan Hulls also thinks it's "pretty cool. Hopefully we can make him look pretty good. But I appreciate that."
"It is kinda neat, having the president picking you," said Cody Zeller. "I guess that is kinda special."
IU takes on James Madison at 4:10 pm Friday afternoon. The Dukes are a 16 seed, and a 16 seed has never beaten a number one seed.
The Hoosiers finished the season by losing three of their final six games so they feel like they have something to prove.
