ISP search for missing driver in bitter cold temperatures
Indiana State Police searched for the driver of a one car accident early this morning - concerned for his welfare due to extremely cold temperatures.
ISP searched for the driver of a car that ran off I-70 near Ronald Reagan Expressway around 4 a.m. Sunday. When officers arrived on the scene, the driver was gone. Police wanted to verify the driver's welfare after witnesses said they'd seen him walk away from the accident with a head injury.
Police checked a tree line near the accident. Then started searching in nearby businesses.
They eventually found the driver at a gas station.
He was taken to the hospital to be checked out.
