Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne is planning to dedicate a high technology lab that will feature a scanning electron microscope with state-of-the-art capabilities for imaging and microanalysis.

The school's Department of Geosciences will dedicate the Argast Family Imaging and Analysis Lab on Friday. The dedication will recognize a major donation made by James Argast, father of Anne Argast, professor of geology at IPFW.

IPFW has about 14,000 students.
