Indy Parks hiring for hundreds of summer jobs
Indy Parks is looking to hiring hundreds of people this summer.
Indy Parks says its lifeguard positions in particular provide an ideal summer employment option for high school and college students, teachers looking for extra income during break, or older adults looking to become more involved in their community.
Indy Parks' lifeguards are certified in a 3-day program that covers lifeguarding skills, water rescue techniques, First Aid, and CPR.
Applicants for Indy Parks lifeguard positions must be Marion County residents 16 years or older, be able to pass a swimming test consisting of a 200-yard swim using front crawl or breast stroke, one-minute tread with hands out of the water, and successful retrieval of a 10-pound diving brick from 10 feet of water.
