Indianapolis-based Republic Airways is moving ahead with plans to sell its subsidiary Frontier Airlines.

The Indianapolis Business Journal says the $145 million deal with private equity firm Indigo Partners will close later this month.

Indigo reportedly waived "key conditions" of the deal to keep it alive.

It has been working to reach an agreement with the Frontier flight attendants' union.

Indigo has said it wants to turn Denver-based Frontier into an ultra-discount airline.
