Indianapolis got a strong start from reliever Jay Jackson, but the offense was out dueled by Toledo pitching in a 2-0 loss Wednesday night.

Jackson didn't allow a hit through four innings, but a solo homerun by James McCann in the fifth gave the Mud Hens all the offense they'd need. Robbie Ray pitched 8 1/3 shutout innings for Toledo to get the win.

Indianapolis managed just four hits off Mud Hens pitching in the loss.

The two teams battle again Thursday night at Fifth-Third Field in Toledo. First pitch is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
