An Indiana man went to the White House Thursday to meet President Barack Obama and talk about a college basketball game played 50 years ago.

Jerry Harkness is one of the surviving members of the 1963 Loyola University basketball team.

50 years ago, they played in what has been called "The Game of Change."

In a famous photo from the game, Harkness shook hands with Joe Dan Gold at mid-court.

All-white Mississippi State had to sneak out of their own state in order to play against Loyola of Chicago. Loyola started four black players including Harkness.

The White House visit with the president was part of a two-day trip to Washington for Harkness and the Loyola team.
