Indianapolis woman, boyfriend arrested in baby death
An Indianapolis woman and her live-in boyfriend were arrested over the weekend in connection with the death of the woman's 15-month-old son in May.
Police arrested Nikita Dunn, 23, and Darrell Daniels, 27, on Saturday. Dunn's baby was found unresponsive on May 3, 2013, at the couple's home in the 600 block of South Marion Ave. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Dunn and Daniels face one charge each of neglect of a dependent causing death, a Class A felony. Warrants were issued by the court.
Violent Crime Unit detectives tracked down both suspects over the weekend and placed them under arrest. They are currently in custody at the Marion County Jail awaiting trial.
