Two people were treated for minor injuries after a building at Christopher's Taxi Repair Service Friday afternoon.

Wayne Township Fire crews were called to 57 Gasoline Alley a little after 1:00 pm. That's just north of Rockville Road.

When firefighters arrived, heavy smoke was pouring from the single-story auto repair facility. The call was immediately upgraded to a second alarm due to the past history of Gasoline Alley businesses storing racing fuel.

Fire crews entered the building and encountered heavy smoke conditions and near zero visibility.

The investigation found that a fire had spread from a limousine in for repair to the interior of the building.

It took about 20 minutes to get the fire under control. Adjacent businesses had minor smoke damage.

Employees told firefighters they were eating lunch in a nearby office when one of them went to answer the phone. That's when they discovered the limousine on fire.

Two employees had minor injuries. One was treated at the scene and the other was transported to IU West.

Speedway and IFD Fire assisted on the run.

Fire investigators have not yet determined a cause. The building had heavy smoke and water damage.
