The deadline to sign up for health insurance under the Affordable Care Act, also known as "Obamacare," is a little more than a week away.

Both here in Indiana and all across the country, there's a last-minute push to get Americans covered.

Democratic state lawmakers John Bartlett and Jean Breaux hosted a town hall meeting Saturday on the city's northeast side. Experts answered questions and helped people sign up before the March 31 deadline.

"I saw the need and the folks who just didn't understand or how to go through the process, so they came and they signed up. So we've had a nice turnout today," State Rep. John Bartlett (D-Indianapolis) said Saturday.

Anyone who starts the sign-up process before March 31 will be allowed to complete it and purchase coverage, according to a White House spokesperson.
