Indianapolis protesters return home from Ferguson
An Indianapolis group that traveled to Ferguson, Mo., returned home Sunday night.
Kila Hayes was one of ten young people who spent Saturday protesting with the crowds. The group organized through Facebook and drove four hours to be in Ferguson in person.
Kila said she was compelled to go and show her support.
"I'm just tired of seeing people who look like me getting judged and prosecuted by the police, and people not getting a fair chance to defend themselves, and the character assassinations that happen when people that look like me get in trouble by police," explained Hayes. "If you don't stand for anything, you'll fall for everything, so I have to stand up."
Indianapolis group also brought food, water and first aid to demonstrators.
