Indianapolis man facing charges in shooting over missing drugs

Roger Ravell

INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - Charges have been filed against an Indianapolis man in connection with a shooting and stabbing last month that left one person dead.

At the center of the case is a missing box of drugs allegedly belonging to the "Mexican Mafia."

Police arrested Roger Ravell for murder, burglary, robbery, and battery.

According to court documents, he arranged for a package full of marijuana to be shipped to an east Indianapolis home. But when the man living there claimed it was never delivered, Ravell allegedly showed up with three other men and attacked him.

Police say Ravell then shot and killed Christopher Curry in the driveway when Curry showed up during the ambush.

Ravell goes to trial in September.
