An Indianapolis man was arrested for dealing heroin Wednesday in Columbus.

Columbus Police narcotics detectives set up a buy of more than $2,000 worth of heroin from 21-year-old Timothy Ford Jr. Wednesday afternoon. Detectives say the heroin was brought from Indianapolis to be distributed around the Columbus community.

After purchasing approximately 20 grams of heroin from Ford, officers took him into custody on preliminary charges of dealing in heroin over three grams.
