Indianapolis man arrested after getting shot

An Indianapolis man will be placed under arrest as soon as he is released from the hospital after getting shot Sunday afternoon.

The unidentified 19-year-old victim was shot in the abdomen - possibly twice - near the intersection of E 11th and N Olney streets just before 6:00 p.m. After being taken to the hospital, police found he was wanted on outstanding warrants and said he would be arrested once he is released by his doctors. As of Sunday evening, he was listed in stable condition.

At last check, police did not have any suspect information for who shot the 19-year-old, but said they do not believe the shooting was a random act.
