Indianapolis boy hit by truck at summer camp

An Indianapolis boy is recovering in the hospital after he was hit by a pickup truck at a summer camp in southern Indiana .

Shawn Harvel, 7, was hurt Saturday at the SpringHill Camp near Seymour in Jackson County.

Police say the brakes went out on a truck pulling two trams full of passengers.

The vehicle drove into a grassy area to miss hitting another passenger tram and instead hit three campers and a counselor before it finally stopped.

According to a Columbus newspaper, "The Republic", Harvel suffered the worst injuries of the group.

Officials say he's in stable condition at Riley Hospital.
