Students at a central Indiana school made sacrifices Wednesday to help children suffering from cancer.

Adey Hill, one of those students, gave up her hair for "Locks of Love." More than a dozen students donated 8 inches or more of their hair to the organization.

Adey wanted to do a good deed while getting a trim.

"I just kind of wanted a hair cut, but I'm also helping kids who need wigs because they already have to face that they have cancer, and along with that losing their hair," Adey explained.

Male students, who may not have had 8 inches of hair to spare, were invited to shave their heads in solidarity.
