Indiana school board group holding candidate training

The Indiana School Board Association will spend the summer training candidates for local school boards.

The group said Wednesday it plans to hold 10 training sessions and candidate forums across the state. Members of the group will answer questions about being a school board member on topics including ethics and complying with the state's public access laws.

The forums will be July 16 in Merrillville, July 17 in Plymouth, July 18 in Fort Wayne, July 19 in Lafayette, July 23 in Kokomo, July 24 in Muncie, July 25 in Greencastle, July 26 in Beech Grove, July 30 in Jasper and July 31 in Seymour.
