Indiana ranked 12th worst for obesity
When it comes to obesity, Indiana ranks 12th worst in the country.
At the top of the list is Mississippi, where 35.4 percent of people are considered obese, according to the 2013 Gallup well-being poll. Indiana's obesity rate was 29.9 percent.
At the other end of the scale was Montana with an obesity rate of 19.6 percent.
Overall, the national obesity rate increased to just over 27 percent. Those considered morbidly obese reached an all-time high of 3.8 percent.
