Fort Wayne Lutheran Hospital upgraded Sam Dailey's condition from critical on Monday.

The Columbia City High School player was injured in a game Friday.

Neurosurgeon Dr. Jeffrey Kachmann tells WANE-TV Dailey suffered an acute head injury which caused a blood clot to form on his brain. He's had several surgeries to reduce swelling.
