Indiana Landmarks reacquires historic Logansport home

A home that's part of Logansport's historic Banker's Row is back on the market after being reacquired by Indiana Landmarks.

Indiana Landmarks South Bend office director Todd Zeiger says the preservation group has bought back the Tower House from an Illinois couple that whose preservation plans became sidetracked by medical issues and other setbacks.

Zeiger tells the Pharos Tribune that the two-story Tower House with its Italianate styling and tall arched windows was probably built about 150 years ago.

Indiana Landmarks intends to sell the house to a restoration-minded person. He says the loss of Tower House would've opened up a gap in Banker's Row, putting other historic homes there at risk.
