Indiana Ice win Clark Cup championship

The Indiana Ice scored twice in the third period to capture the Clark Cup championship, 3-2 over the Waterloo Black Hawks Tuesday night.

Trailing 2-1 late the final period, Alex Talcott scored to even the scored. Then, with just 2:13 left in regulation, Brian Pinho scored the game-winner to clinch the championship for Indiana.

Ice goalie Jason Pawloski was named MVP of the championship.

Mitch Hults scored the first Ice goal at 11:21 of the first period, evening the score after Waterloo jumped to a 1-0 lead in the first four minutes.

The championship is the second Clark Cup for the Ice, who also won the title in 2009.

The team has been granted dormancy status for next season, as they focus on a new facility and a permanent home in Indianapolis.
