The Indiana Court of Appeals says a former high school volleyball coach should go to trial on charges she failed to report that another coach was involved in an illegal sexual relationship with a 15-year-old player.

A three-judge panel ruled Friday that a trial should be held to determine whether MaryBeth Lebo failed to inform authorities of the relationship between the girl and 48-year-old Robert Ashcraft. Lebo faces two misdemeanor charges of failing to report child abuse or neglect.

Ashcraft was last year was sentenced to 21 years in prison for sexual misconduct and child seduction.

Lebo said the charges against her were vague and were barred by the two-year statute of limitations.

Lebo's attorney didn't return a message seeking comment.

She still can appeal to the Indiana Supreme Court.
