Indiana among six states participating in campaign to stop distracted driving

Law enforcement agencies in six states plan participate in a weeklong campaign targeting distracted driving.

Indiana State Police will join other state police in Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, Pennsylvania and West Virginia on the effort. The stepped-up enforcement is scheduled to begin Sunday and run through July 26.

Michigan State Police Director Kriste Kibbey Etue says in a statement that the agencies also will be on the lookout for seat belt use and speeding as well as aggressive and impaired driving.
