An Indiana mother is alive thanks to the brave actions of her son and the power of technology.

She's calling the little boy her hero after he saved her life using an iPad.

The woman was having a diabetic seizure at their home in Valparaiso when the 4-year-old sprung into action. He couldn't find a cell phone to call 911, so he picked up an iPad instead. The boy used that device to contact his grandfather via FaceTime and tell him to send an ambulance.

"I saved mommy's whole life," Elijah Riley said. "Yeah, I was a hero. A G.I. Joe hero."

The boy said now that he's a superhero, he'd like an iPhone as a special gift for his birthday in August.
