Indianapolis - A Metro Police officer lost his battle with cancer Saturday morning.

Officials say Detective Cameron Brosseau passed away early Saturday at his home with his family by his side. Brosseau fought cancer and won five years ago, but was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer after experiencing severe back pain last fall.

He had spent eight years with IMPD and is survived by his wife and two young children.
